First Federal Community Grants

First Federal's Community Grant program is not accepting applications during our current fiscal year. Please check back for information on when the program will be reopening.

Through our Community Grant program, First Federal provides grants to charitable organizations in Yamhill County for special projects and other non-operational needs. From Habitat for Humanity to Head Start, we're partnering with local organizations to make this the best possible community for everyone who lives here.

Presently First Federal is prioritizing grant requests of a basic human needs nature. Recently funded projects include a new Food Bank and Client Service Center for YCAP; emergency funding for the Community Compassion Fund; and food for the Newberg Community Kitchen. All grant requests are reviewed by a four-member committee comprised of an officer of First Federal, a board member, an employee and a customer.

Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000, with an average award of $3,390. A complete list of funded projects is available here. Requests for funding that are less than $1,000 should be directed to a local branch for consideration.

Grant requests are considered quarterly when the program is running, with applications due by the first Monday of the month in December, March, June and September. Applicants can expect a response within three weeks of the quarterly application deadline. Feel free to contact our Community Relations Coordinator to discuss your grant request prior to submission.

We are not currently accepting aplications.
