First Federal was founded in 1922 to provide a secure, locally-owned financial institution for Yamhill County residents... a place to build savings and borrow money to purchase a home. This initial philosophy continues to guide our decision-making and strengthen our dedication to our customers and our community. In 1999, we established a formal community giving program to support local nonprofit organizations. Since that time, we have donated more than $1.69 million to Yamhill County organizations with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Our donations are made through our Customer Ballot, First Federal Community Rewards, Scholarship and Community Grant programs, in addition to numerous local event and organizational sponsorships. We also sponsor annual Shred Day events to help community members protect themselves from identity theft, and Community Internships through a partnership with Linfield College.
