Community Giving
Contributing to our community
Since First Federal was established in 1922, we have always supported our local community through donations and sponsorships. In 1999, however, we decided to usher in the new millennium by establishing a formal community giving program to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve. Each year, a portion of our profits is directed to nonprofit organizations in Yamhill County.
Since the program's inception in 1999, First Federal has donated more than $1,000,000 to local nonprofits.
Through this program, First Federal donates funds to Yamhill County organizations with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. First Federal's mission is to direct our resources to the communities we serve.
An important part of First Federal's program is the Customer Ballot Program which gives our customers the opportunity to direct First Federal's donations by voting for their favorite local charity.
First Federal Community Grant Program allocates larger donations to local nonprofit organizations. Funds are allocated through a four-member committee comprised of the CEO, a board member, an employee, and a customer. The contribution committee meets on a quarterly basis to review grant applications.
