Community Grant Program
Making a Difference in the Communities We Serve. . .

First Federal is committed to making a difference in the communities we serve by supporting the non-profit organizations that touch the lives of local people. Through our Community Grant program, we provide grants to charitable organizations in Yamhill County for special projects and other non-operational needs. From Habitat for Humanity to Head Start, we're partnering with local organizations to make this the best possible community for everyone who lives here.

Grant requests are considered quarterly, with applications due by the first Monday of the month in June, September, December and March. The average award size is $4,180. Please click here for a complete list of all projects funded over the history of the Community Grant program.

Touching Lives in Yamhill County. . .

"First Federal's generous gift of $10,000 was one of the largest individual contributions made to the library's bookmobile. The bookmobile visits daycares, elementary schools in conjunction with Kids on the Block and stops in Discovery Meadows and Thompson Park. First Federal has consistently supported library programming for kids and their contribution to the community and its children is greatly appreciated."

Jill Poyer, Director, McMinnville Public Library

"Thanks to First Federal's generous $5,000 Community Grant, Habitat for Humanity was able to buy tools and a tool trailer for our West Valley Chapter, allowing volunteers from the Sheridan area to participate more fully in building a house for a family in need."

Marianne Mills, Executive Director, McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity

"The Yamhill County Historical Society applied for a grant from First Federal for a covered trailer so that we could take our covered wagon to schools and community events in the county. By having this trailer, we are able to transport the wagon without causing damage to the canvas cover. We are also able to take more artifacts along. In the past, we had to take everything out of the wagon because items could blow out or be damaged as we traveled with the wagon on a flat bed trailer.

It is so much easier to move these artifacts around now because it is all contained inside the trailer. We have a top-notch trailer with an electric wench. It is wonderful!

Thanks to the generosity of First Federal, we are able to move the wagon around the county without damaging it."

Gloria Lutz, Yamhill County Historical Society
